Forrester Projects Worldwide Software Spending Growing by 9.7% in 2010

According to InformationWeek, Forrester,in a report entitled US And Global IT Market Outlook: Q4 2009, is forecasting that global spending on IT hardware and software will grow 8.1% in 2010, after a decline of 8.9 % in 2009.  Regionally Forrester expects Western Europe to lead the resurgence.

• Western and Central Europe 11.2%
• Canada 9.9%
• Asia Pacific 7.8%
• Latin America 7.7%
• U.S. 6.6%
• EMEA 2.4%.

Forrester expects that software will see the largest increase with worldwide spending on software growing by 9.7%.
