I just came across an interesting post ( Google Maps post here ) relating to Canadian spatial data on Mapperz about a relatively new NRCan WMS Toporama service that provides access to CanTopo, the new generation of topographic maps (1 :50,000) produced by NRCan which are in vector format as compared to the old raster format which was a scan of paper topo maps. As I blogged previously Canadian government spatial data is available for free and with an unrestricted license. The CanTopo maps are available via ftp for bulk download.
