The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has issued a
Request for Information (RFI) online about innovative green building technologies. The
GSA Green Proving Ground (GPG) program is intended to collect information from industry, commercial organizations, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations on technologies that have the potential to improve economic and environmental performance of federal buildings. It uses GSA’s real estate portfolio of 9,200 Federal buildings as a test bed to evaluate the viability of emerging building technologies and practices to save energy, water, and reduce operational costs.
The RFI is aimed at industry and stakeholders looking to them to submit information to the program, which will be used in the selection process for technologies to test as part of the GPG’s 2014 program.
The RFI opens today and submissions will be accepted until Monday, December 9 at 5:00 pm ET.
